Water structures built as long-term operating assets
Founded in 2003, Bohai started in float manufacturing and now covers design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance for yacht clubs, tourism groups and municipal clients.
Who we are
From a single float to an entire waterfront
We began with floats. Clients took them away to build bridges, docks and platforms — and the problems usually appeared at the connections and the mooring. So we started doing structural design, and then installation.
Today Bohai both manufactures and delivers: the factory produces floats, steelwork and coatings, while the engineering team handles survey, launch and commissioning. With responsibility inside one company, problems do not get passed back and forth at an interface.
We still think of ourselves as an engineering firm rather than an equipment supplier. After handover, the structure stays in the water for twenty years.

Calculate first
No hydrology and no load calculation, no rendering. A good-looking form has to work first.

Designed for maintenance
Access hatches, spares and disassembly sequence are drawn — not left to improvisation on site.

Traceable after handover
Component numbers, test records and as-built drawings are archived, still retrievable five years later.

Milestones
Twenty years, one step at a time
2003
Started producing polymer floats and entered the overwater platform market.
2009
Formed the structural design team and delivered our first marina pontoon project.
2015
Commissioned the metal fabrication workshop, adding aluminium and steel lines.
2021
Overseas share of work grew; delivered a resort overwater platform in Southeast Asia.
