About Bohai

For more than twenty years, we have done one thing: water

Bohai is a marine engineering contractor focused on yacht marinas, floating bridges and waterfront structures — covering consultancy, site survey, design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance.

We believe the safety of a floating structure comes from details you can calculate: how buoyancy is distributed, how connections absorb movement, how coatings resist salt spray. Every project starts with site hydrology, not with a rendering.

Our own factory and modular components let us hold quality when schedules are tight — and keep supplying spare parts long after handover.

Why Bohai

Six fundamentals of marine work, addressed one by one

Structure, durability, schedule, ecology, manufacturing and service. If any one fails, the owner pays for it during operation.

01

Modular systems

Standard components assembled on site; berths added or removed without dismantling the whole dock.

02

Calculated structures

Loads, wave height and water-level range checked item by item, with calculations and third-party review for critical nodes.

03

Built to last

Marine-grade metals and polymers with heavy-duty coating systems against salt spray, UV and freeze-thaw cycles.

04

Low ecological impact

Minimal civil work, pile-free or short-pile options, fully removable, small disturbance to water and seabed.

05

In-house manufacturing

Our own factory controls component quality and lead time — urgent replacements do not queue behind other clients.

06

Full-cycle service

Survey, design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance under one contract, with clear responsibility.

How we work

Six steps from first call to handover

Each stage has defined deliverables and sign-off points, so deviations surface before construction rather than during it.

01

Briefing

Berth count, vessel types, operating scenario and budget range.

02

Site survey

Water depth, current, wave height, water-level range and shoreline conditions.

03

Concept & calculation

Structural type selected; buoyancy, mooring and connection nodes calculated.

04

Detail design & quotation

Construction drawings, component schedules and itemised pricing.

05

Manufacturing

Floats and steelwork prefabricated; watertightness and load testing before dispatch.

06

Installation & handover

Launch, connection, commissioning and acceptance, with O&M manual and spares list.

Every float has to answer three questions

Engineering & quality

Every float has to answer three questions

Buoyancy, connection and durability are where floating structures fail — and where they are most often overlooked.

  • Buoyancy

How point loads and uniformly distributed loads spread, and which point fails first under overload.

  • Connection

How pins, bolts and rubber pads absorb movement while keeping the joint serviceable.

  • Durability

How many years materials and coatings survive salt spray, UV and freeze-thaw cycles.
